FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you need to shut down power during electrical work?

Answer

It depends on the scope of work, but some jobs require partial or full power shutdowns for safety. We schedule these during your quietest periods and work efficiently to minimise downtime. For routine maintenance or additions, we can often work without shutting everything down.

How do you determine if my electrical system needs upgrading?

Answer

We assess current capacity, check for code compliance issues, look at your equipment’s power draw, and identify whether your system can handle your actual needs. If you’re tripping breakers, experiencing voltage drops, or adding new equipment, an upgrade is usually needed.

What electrical certifications do you provide after completing work?

Answer

We provide certificates of compliance for all electrical work, which you’ll need for insurance, building compliance, and future property transactions. We also document what was done, parts used, and test results for your records.

What happens if you find non-compliant electrical work?

Answer

We flag it, explain the compliance issue and potential risks, and quote the work needed to bring it up to code. You decide whether to proceed immediately or schedule it for later, but we’ll document what needs attention.

Do you carry parts or need to order everything?

Answer

We stock common commercial electrical components and maintain supplier relationships for specialist items. Most standard work gets completed on the first visit. Complex jobs or specialised equipment may require ordering parts.

How do you minimise disruption during office fit-outs?

Answer

We coordinate with other trades, work outside business hours when needed, and stage installations to keep occupied areas functional.
