Remote-cooled systems solve both problems by keeping the noise and heat out of the kitchen entirely, but they come at a higher installation cost.

A built-in water filter is worth having regardless of which machine you choose, since it protects flavour and helps prevent the mineral buildup that causes a lot of the problems in the first section.

Finally, check the 24-hour production rate against your peak demand rather than your average day. If you expect to grow or if demand spikes seasonally, a modular setup gives you room to add capacity later without replacing the whole unit.
